Description
The Autoimmune Assessment Panel is an advanced test designed to detect autoimmune diseases, in which the immune system mistakenly targets the body’s own tissues. It identifies key biomarkers crucial for diagnosing conditions such As Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Sjögren’s Syndrome. For example, elevated ANA levels are commonly seen in systemic diseases like Lupus, while RF is typically higher in Rheumatoid Arthritis, helping to differentiate it from other forms of arthritis. Anti-CCP antibodies are highly specific to Rheumatoid Arthritis and can also provide insight into the disease’s severity and progression. The Extractable Nuclear Antigen (ENA) test identifies antibodies linked to various connective tissue diseases, while dsDNA is particularly associated with Lupus. Anti-Smooth Muscle Antibodies (SMA) are often found in autoimmune liver conditions, and Anti-Mitochondrial Antibodies (AMA) are linked to primary biliary cholangitis. Because autoimmune diseases often present with symptoms like joint pain, fatigue, and rashes, early diagnosis can be challenging. The Autoimmune Assessment Panel ensures early detection, allowing for more effective management and the prevention of complications in the future.
